What are HeyGen Avatars?

HeyGen Avatars are AI-generated video presenters that lip-sync to your script. They look and move like real people, making them ideal for:
  • Product demos and explainer videos
  • Social media content with a personal touch
  • Training and educational videos
  • Marketing announcements
  • Multilingual content (same avatar, different languages)

Getting started

Connect your HeyGen account

Before using avatars, you need to connect your HeyGen account:
  1. Open the account drawer (click your avatar) → Settings → Integrations tab
  2. Find HeyGen in the integrations list
  3. Click Connect and follow the authorization flow
  4. Once connected, avatars become available in Zee Studio
You need a HeyGen account to use this feature. If you don’t have one, you can sign up at HeyGen and then connect it to Postzee.

How to create an avatar video

  1. Open Zee Studio from the top navigation bar (click Zee Studio)
  2. Select AI Video mode in the creator panel
  3. Choose HeyGen Avatar as the generation type
  4. Select an avatar:
    • Browse the avatar gallery
    • Search by name to find specific avatars
    • Hover over an avatar to preview their video
    • Click to select
  5. Select a voice:
    • Browse available voices
    • Filter by language using the dropdown
    • Click the play button to preview a voice
    • Click to select
  6. Write your script — type or paste the text your avatar will speak
  7. Check the credit cost and click Generate
  8. Wait for processing — avatar videos typically take 2-5 minutes
  9. Your video appears in Creations when ready

Choosing an avatar

The avatar gallery shows all available HeyGen avatars:
  • Search — find avatars by name
  • Preview — hover over an avatar card to see a short video preview
  • Types — regular avatars and talking photos are available
  • Gender — browse male and female presenters
Click an avatar to select it. A purple border indicates your selection.

Choosing a voice

The voice selector lets you find the perfect voice for your content:
  • Language filter — select a language to show only voices in that language
  • Gender indicators — each voice shows whether it’s female or male
  • Audio preview — click the play button to hear a sample before selecting
  • Search — find voices by name
For multilingual content, you can use the same avatar with different language voices. The avatar will lip-sync naturally to any supported language.

Tips for better avatar videos

  • Write naturally — write your script as you would speak it, with pauses and natural phrasing
  • Keep scripts focused — shorter, focused scripts produce better results than long monologues
  • Match voice to content — choose a voice that fits your brand tone (professional, friendly, energetic)
  • Test with previews — always preview both the avatar and voice before generating

After generation

Once your avatar video is ready, you can:
  • Download — save the video to your device
  • Create Post — attach the video to a social media post
  • Publish — share to the Explore gallery
