AI credits are the currency used to generate images and videos in Postzee. Every AI generation costs a specific number of credits depending on the model, resolution, and settings.

How credits work

1 dollar = 1,000 credits When you generate an image or video, the credit cost is deducted from your balance. The exact cost is always shown on the Generate button before you confirm.

Types of credits

There are two types of credits in Postzee — they behave differently:

Plan credits

Paid plans include a monthly credit allocation: Plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused plan credits do not roll over.

Purchased credits

Credits bought through credit packages are permanent:
  • Never expire — use them whenever you want
  • Survive cancellation — if you cancel your plan, purchased credits remain in your account
  • Available on all plans — including the Free plan

Checking your balance

Your current credit balance is visible in the account drawer (click your avatar in the top-right corner). It shows both your total available credits and a breakdown by type. You can also check your detailed balance by clicking the credit display in the account drawer, which takes you to the Credits page.

Credit usage

Each AI generation shows its credit cost before you confirm:
  • The Generate button displays the estimated cost (e.g., “Generate · 160”)
  • Credit costs vary by model — some models are more expensive than others
  • Higher resolutions, longer durations, and quality settings increase the cost

When are credits deducted?

Credits are deducted at the moment you click Generate. Here’s the full flow:
  1. You click Generate — credits are deducted from your balance immediately
  2. Generation starts — the AI processes your request
  3. Generation succeeds — your media appears in the gallery, no further changes to your balance
  4. Generation fails — credits are automatically refunded to your balance

Refunds for failed generations

If a generation fails for any reason (provider error, content policy violation, timeout, etc.), the credits are returned to your balance automatically. You don’t need to contact support. You’ll see a notification when a refund happens, and your balance updates in real time.
Refunds only happen for technical failures. Generations you cancel manually mid-process or that complete successfully (even if you don’t like the result) are not refunded — that’s why we recommend using the Prompt Optimizer before generating to maximize quality.

What doesn’t cost credits

These features are always free:

  • Voice input — dictate prompts by voice
  • Browsing Explore — view community gallery
  • Uploading media — upload your own files to Files
  • Scheduling and publishing posts — the social media suite uses your plan, not credits
