The Post Editor is where you compose, customize, and publish your social media content. Write once, customize per platform, and publish to multiple channels simultaneously.

Opening the Post Editor

You can open the Post Editor from several places:
  • Calendar — click on a date or an existing post
  • Zee Studio — select Create Post mode, or click Create Post on a generated image/video

Writing your post

Content field

The main text editor supports:
  • Rich text with platform-appropriate formatting
  • Up to 2,200 characters — a counter shows remaining characters
  • Emoji support — use the emoji picker or type emoji directly
  • Hashtag suggestions — popular hashtags by category (marketing, business, technology, lifestyle)
Character limits vary by platform. Instagram allows 2,200 characters, X (Twitter) allows 280, LinkedIn allows 3,000. Postzee will warn you if your content exceeds a platform’s limit.

Attaching media

Add images and videos to your post:
  • From Zee Studio — click Create Post on any generated image or video
  • From Files — select uploaded files from your library
  • Direct upload — drag and drop or click to upload new files
Supported media types depend on the platform:

Selecting channels

Choose which channels receive this post:
  1. In the channel selector, check the channels you want to publish to
  2. Selected channels show a checkmark and the count updates (e.g., “Channels (3)”)
  3. Each channel shows its avatar, name, and platform
You can select channels from different platforms — Postzee handles the format differences automatically.
Only enabled channels appear in the selector. If a channel needs reconnection, it will show as disabled. Go to Channels to fix the connection.

Platform-specific settings

Some platforms require or support additional settings. These appear when you select a channel from that platform:

TikTok

YouTube

Instagram

LinkedIn

Tags

Organize your posts with tags for easy filtering:
  1. In the post editor, click the Tags field
  2. Select existing tags or create new ones
  3. Tags appear as colored chips on your post
  4. Use tags to filter posts in the Calendar view
Tags are shared across your team — anyone can create, edit, or filter by tags. Postzee can automatically shorten URLs in your posts for cleaner formatting and click tracking:
  • Toggle Short Links in the post editor
  • Shortened links are tracked — view click statistics in the post details

Previewing your post

Before publishing or scheduling, you can preview exactly how your post will look on each platform:
  1. After writing your post and selecting channels, click Preview
  2. A side-by-side preview shows your content rendered for each selected platform
  3. Switch between platform tabs to see how your post will appear on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, or Threads

Why preview matters

Each platform has different formatting:
  • Instagram — square or portrait images, emoji-friendly captions, hashtags
  • TikTok — vertical videos, captions trim differently
  • LinkedIn — long-form text formatting, link previews, carousel layout
  • X (Twitter) — 280-character limit, link previews
  • YouTube — thumbnail and title prominence, description visibility
  • Facebook — link previews, image cropping
  • Threads — minimal formatting, conversation-style display
The preview helps you spot issues like text being truncated, images cropped poorly, or character limits exceeded — before your post goes live.
